Why you should learn Portuguese?

The video below will tell you many reasons why you should learn the Portuguese language, so I won't even bother to write more about it.

Instead, I'm going to tell what I think of it.

I was born in Rio de Janeiro and my first trip overseas was in 2007. A new world was introduced to me and I was all excited. Most importantly, I was open to it.

Perhaps one day I could describe how the trip was, but as this is not a travel blog (yet), I'll stick to the topic only saying that it was remarkable.

After a few trips and living abroad for almost 2 years, I can say how important it is to experience a cultural shock like I had. I believe it's extremely important for someone who was born in South America to experience Europe. 

It doesn't happen to everybody, I know. I have examples of people who traveled, it was fun, but that was it. It does not change everybody but it made me a better person in all aspects though.

So, likewise, I believe an European should definitely come to Brazil and live here for a few months. I think we are all different in a lot of aspects, and I'd highly recommend being part of this exchange.
